Tree Removal
Dead, leaning, and storm-damaged trees taken down in sections, with the site left clean.
Most removals downriver happen on lots where a tree is thirty feet from the house and twenty from the neighbor's garage. There's no room to drop it in one piece, so it comes down in controlled sections with ropes, from the top.
Signs a tree needs to go
- Large dead limbs or a dead crown over a roof, drive, or walkway
- Mushrooms or conks at the base — usually root or butt rot
- A cracked trunk, cavity, or bark falling off in sheets
- New lean with soil heaving on the opposite side of the root plate
- Ash that's been standing dead since emerald ash borer went through
What the day looks like
We tarp and clear the drop zone, take the tree down in pieces, chip brush on site, cut the trunk into manageable rounds, and haul it out. Before we leave, the lawn gets raked and the drive and walks get blown off.
Dead ash and emergency work
Standing dead ash gets brittle fast and is genuinely dangerous to climb. If you've got one, don't wait for it to shed a limb into the fence. After storms we move hazard work over anything that isn't hazardous.

Common Questions
- Does the tree have to come down?
- Not always. Large deadwood, a lean with no root plate movement, or storm damage on one side can often be pruned out. We tell you when a tree can be saved — a removal we don't have to do isn't worth our reputation.
- Will you damage the lawn?
- We plan drop zones and equipment paths before cutting, and use mats where a machine has to cross soft ground. Some rutting can happen on a wet lot; we rake, level, and seed what we disturb.
- Is the stump included?
- Removal is priced with the trunk cut low to the ground. Grinding is a separate step because it needs different equipment — most people bundle it, and it's cheaper done in the same visit.
