Zero-turn mower cutting clean stripes into a Metro Detroit lawn

Lawn Mowing Service in Metro Detroit

A clean, consistent cut every week — trimmed, edged, and blown off before we leave.

Mowing looks simple until you see it done badly. Scalped high spots, ruts along the same wheel line every week, clippings blown into the flower beds, a string trimmer that chewed the bark off a young maple. We have picked up plenty of customers who were paying for exactly that.

What we do on every visit

  • Cut at 3 to 3.75 inches, raised in July and August heat
  • Alternate the mowing pattern so wheels are not rutting the same line
  • String trim the house line, fence, trees, posts, and mailbox
  • Edge the drive and walks on a rotation
  • Blow clippings off every hard surface, including the porch

Sharp blades, honestly

Dull blades tear grass instead of cutting it, and torn tips brown out within a day. That gray-brown cast on a lawn two days after service is almost always a blade problem. We sharpen on a schedule, which is boring, unglamorous, and the single biggest reason a lawn looks green after a cut instead of stressed.

Overgrown property? Say so.

If the yard has not been touched in a month, tell us up front. Knee-high grass is a two-stage job: a high pass to knock it down, then a second cut a few days later at normal height. It costs more the first time, then drops to standard rate once it is on the route.

Residential and small commercial

We mow single-family homes, rentals, duplexes, churches, and small commercial properties across the western suburbs. Landlords and property managers can be billed monthly for multiple addresses on one invoice.

Common Questions

How much does lawn mowing cost in Metro Detroit?
Most standard city lots run $40 to $60 per cut with trimming and blow-off included. Corner lots, steep terrain, or properties that have gotten away from you are quoted after a look. We give you the number before we start, not after.
Weekly or bi-weekly?
Weekly is what we recommend from late April through June. Bi-weekly works in the heat of summer but often means removing more than a third of the blade at once, which stresses the lawn and leaves clumps.
What happens if it rains on my service day?
We shift the route rather than tearing up a soaked lawn. You will usually get service the next dry day, and we do not skip a week without telling you.
Do I need to be home?
No. As long as gates are unlocked and pets are inside, we service the property and text or email when it is done.
