Snow Removal Service

Snow Removal in Metro Detroit

Plowing, shoveling, and salting for driveways, walkways, and commercial lots — on a route we run all winter, storm after storm.

You wake up to a driveway you can back out of and a lot your customers can walk across without thinking about it. Detroit-area winters make that harder than it sounds: a 9-inch lake-effect dump one week and three straight days of freeze-thaw the next. Both need a response, and they need different ones. We run plow, shovel, and salt on the same properties so nothing falls between the cracks — and we're always accepting new clients for snow removal, whether or not we cut your grass in the summer.

What we clear

  • Residential driveways, aprons, and front walks
  • Small commercial and retail parking lots
  • Entrances, sidewalks, and handicap access routes
  • Church and community lots on event schedules

Ice is the bigger liability

A plowed lot with a glazed sidewalk is still a claim waiting to happen. Michigan's freeze-thaw cycle turns melt water into black ice by evening, which is why salting and de-icing should be part of the plan, not an afterthought. We salt walks and entrances first, then the drive lanes and parking areas.

Seasonal contracts vs. per-storm

Per-storm pricing works for homeowners who only need help with the big ones. Businesses almost always do better with a seasonal contract: a fixed price, a guaranteed spot on the route, and documented service times if you ever need to prove the lot was cleared.

Our snow customers are the same properties we handle in summer through our lawn care service, so we already know where the drain grates, curbs, and sprinkler heads are before there's a foot of snow over them.

We Come Back

On long storms one pass isn't service, it's a head start. Contracted properties get a return visit once the snow stops so the drive is actually usable, and commercial sites get checked again before the morning rush.

Have a property manager who needs paperwork? We can provide insurance certificates and per-storm service logs.

Common Questions

How deep does it have to snow before you plow?
Residential drives are plowed at a 2-inch trigger. Commercial lots are usually 1 to 2 inches depending on the contract, and we push earlier when a storm is stacking up so the lot never gets buried.
Do I have to call you when it snows?
No. Contracted properties are on an automatic route — we watch the forecast and go. If you need an off-trigger visit for a delivery or an event, call and we'll work it in.
Do you plow overnight?
Yes. Commercial lots are cleared before opening, which usually means starting between midnight and 4 a.m. Residential drives are cleared before the morning commute whenever the storm timing allows.
Is salt included with plowing?
Salt is priced separately unless your contract includes it. Most commercial clients bundle plowing and salting so the walks and entrances are covered too — that's the part that creates slip-and-fall exposure.
When should I sign a snow contract?
September through October. Once the first real storm hits, equipment and routes are already committed, and late sign-ups usually end up further down the list.
