Standing water, rutted gravel, and washed-out beds — handled with grade, stone, and an outlet.
Downriver soil is clay. Clay holds water, and a flat lot has nowhere to send it, so after a heavy rain you get the same puddle in the same spot every time. Most of the time the fix is unglamorous: move the grade a few inches and give the water a path.

Stone instead of mulch
On slopes and along downspout runs, mulch just floats away every storm. River rock or decorative stone over fabric stays put, and you stop paying to replace washed-out mulch every spring.

Some water problems belong to a plumber, a roofer, or the city storm system. If that's what we find, we say so instead of selling you a drain that won't change anything.

Common Questions
- Why does my yard stay wet for days?
- Usually a combination of heavy clay soil, a flat lot, and downspouts dumping right at the foundation. Fixing it is normally regrading the low area and giving the roof water somewhere to go, not installing something expensive.
- Do you install French drains?
- Yes, where the site actually calls for one. We look at grade first — if a few inches of regrading solves it, that costs less and needs no maintenance. A drain goes in when water has nowhere to run on the surface.
- Can you refresh a gravel driveway?
- We regrade the surface, fill ruts and potholes, and top with new 21AA so it packs down hard instead of scattering. Crowning the middle keeps water off it, which is what makes the repair last.
