Lawn Care and Snow Removal in Taylor, Michigan
Sunnyside Lawn and Snow LLC is a licensed and insured Taylor-based company serving homes and businesses across Metro Detroit with weekly lawn care, landscaping, tree work, and winter snow service since 2020.
Meet the Owner
Calvin Palmer Jr.
Sunnyside started in 2020 the way most companies in this trade start: one mower, a truck, and a handful of properties around Taylor. What kept the phone ringing was not marketing. It was showing up on the day we said we would and doing the trim work nobody else bothered with.
Since then the equipment has grown, the routes have expanded across Metro Detroit, and the standard has stayed the same — set schedules, firm quotes, and properties that look finished when we pull away.
What we stand for
There is no shortage of people with a mower and a Facebook page. What is actually hard to find is a company that answers, quotes honestly, shows up on schedule, and is still in business next spring. That is the whole pitch.
- You get a real schedule. Your property has a service day. If weather moves it, we tell you rather than leaving you guessing.
- Quotes are firm. The number we give you is the number on the invoice unless the scope changes and you approve it first.
- Detail work counts. Trimming, edging, and blowing off hard surfaces are not upsells. They are the job.
- Year-round coverage. The same crew that mows in July plows in January, so we already know your property when the snow buries it.
- Straight answers. If a lawn needs aeration and seed instead of more fertilizer, we will tell you that even though it is the cheaper recommendation.
Licensed, insured, and local
Sunnyside Lawn and Snow LLC has been in business since 2020. We are a licensed Michigan company carrying liability insurance, and we can provide a certificate to any property manager or HOA that requires one. We are based in Taylor, MI 48180, and every property we service is inside Metro Detroit — no crews being sent two hours out. Office hours are Mon–Fri 8:00am – 6:00pm · Snow events 24/7.
What we do — and what we don't
Beyond weekly mowing, we handle landscaping, hard landscaping like paver patios and retaining walls, tree removal and trimming, and snow plowing and salting all winter.
We do not install or repair irrigation systems. If your sprinklers need work we will point you to someone who does that daily rather than learning on your dime.
The equipment
Commercial zero-turn mowers for speed and cut quality, walk-behinds and push mowers for tight gated yards, backpack blowers, hedge trimmers, saws and a chipper for tree work, a skid steer and plate compactor for hardscape jobs, and a truck-and-plow setup with salting equipment for winter. Blades get sharpened on a schedule and gear gets serviced before it fails, not after it strands a route.
Where we work
We service Taylor, Allen Park, Southgate, Dearborn Heights, Dearborn, Westland, and the surrounding communities. See the full list on our service areas page, and if your city is not listed, call anyway — if you are close to the route, we can usually make it work.
Ready when you are
Whether it is a weekly cut, a one-time cleanup, a mulch job, or a winter contract, the next step is the same: send us the address or call 313-549-0689 and we will get you a real number.
